Transformation Tuesday Feature – CrossFit Broken Chains
By CFBC Staff Writer
When she first moved from Puerto Rico and began looking for a place to continue her fitness journey, she didn’t just want another gym. She was searching for something deeper — something that would challenge her, push her, and ultimately, change her.
She found it at CrossFit Broken Chains.
“I joined almost four years ago, back in 2022,” she says. “CrossFit had always caught my attention, and when I moved to the area, I could tell there was a strong community here. Broken Chains stood out — it had good energy, great feedback, and I knew I wanted to be as fit and strong as I could be.”
What she didn’t know at the time was that CrossFit would become a tool not only for physical transformation, but also emotional, spiritual, and mental renewal.
Before the Shift: A Life Just Below the Limit
“I don’t remember life without CrossFit as well as I should,” she reflects. “But before I started this journey, it felt like I was always falling short of my potential. Not where I wanted to be, and not pushing myself the way I knew I could — physically, emotionally, or spiritually.”
She carried self-doubt — a distorted view of who she was and what she was capable of. But over time, and through the daily discipline of showing up, something began to change.
“I had an idea of myself that wasn’t real. I doubted my habits, my follow-through. But by simply showing up for myself, I started to acknowledge that discipline is my superpower.”
Letting Go of Weight — In More Ways Than One
Her transformation isn’t measured solely in pounds lost or muscles gained — though those are part of the story. The real change came through emotional clarity and spiritual growth.
“I did lose weight, but not just physical mass — I lost emotional weight too. Through spiritual battles, I gained the capacity to adapt and accept life’s changes. That’s what shocked me most.”
She describes her evolution in bold terms — no limits, no boundaries, just a deep well of strength and resilience she hadn’t fully tapped into before. “I feel like I can do anything. I’m ready to be a coach. I want to bring that light and power to everyone I meet.”
The Turning Point
Her breakthrough moment came in June of last year, during one of the most difficult chapters of her life.
“It showed me how broken I could feel — yet how whole I actually am. Even when I’m hurt and tired, faith and community kept me above water. Especially here at CFBC.”
And there was one experience that sealed her connection to the gym in a deeply personal way.
“I remember the first Faith RX we had. I knew I needed to be there. The coaches and community saved me from a lot — with hard work, smiles, and never letting me give up. The love you give, it really does show.”
Her Advice for Anyone on the Fence
“Start. The hardest part is waking up. Once you show up, that’s your discipline calling. Habits make results — and you owe it to yourself to become the best version of you.”
Her transformation reminds us that CrossFit isn’t just about lifts and reps — it’s about showing up through life’s storms and coming out stronger, freer, and more grounded in who you really are.
“Lead with love, patience, and strength — and success will follow. I am forever grateful for my CrossFit Broken Chains family.”
Final Words
Her story is one of breaking chains — not just in the physical sense, but in shedding limiting beliefs, fear, and doubt. She’s living proof that transformation doesn’t happen overnight — but it does happen with consistency, courage, and a community like CFBC behind you.
